Monk Question...
Could someone answer this for me?
Why do lot's of monks normally bring like a hex removal, yet they cannot use it on themselves? I see lots of monk builds with either [skill]Cure Hex[/skill] or some other type of hex removal. I find it very "weird" to have an remove hex from other skill, so i always bring one like [skill]Remove Hex[/skill].
~Thanks

Cure hex is a good skill (considering healing prayers line) and can be used on yourself. There are many other skills that remove hexes and that can be used on yourself. A smiter can use smite hex for example. Remove hex is a no attribute skill, more based for professions with monk as secondary prof, but it's also good for a primary monk I guess, no extra bonus like with cure hex though.
I don't really get your point, but I'm in a hurry and don't have the time to dig into the subject atm, so it's prolly me.

Both those skills can be used on the caster.

Target ally = Yourself, and all allies.
Target other ally = Any ally except you.

I understand the OP's question even if his examples are fail. The spotless skills are a prime example of this, as well as something like Dwayna's Kiss. My argument for reasoning for this is that many times you run monks in teams and one has a specific function and may not have room on their bar for a self removal and the other monk can assist in that. Another thought is that if they are in a pve area where the hexes are known and are not an issue to a monk, they will not be concerned with self removal as they can typically heal through them

Typically, "target other ally' spells are pretty powerful, so the backline (sometimes) coordinates what skills to bring. [RC] and [Draw Conditions] for example, but it's more of a PvP focus.
I love [Dwayna's Kiss] in hex heavy areas. Usually, the hexes are harmless, like [parasitic bond]. If something needs removing, well, [cure hex] is ftw.
The most important thing to learn is to coordinate your skills. If you're a prot monk, putting [Dwayna's Kiss] and [Dismiss Condition] on your hero brings out the potential effects of those skills, which benefits the team greatly in the long run.

Your post doesn't make sense. You can cast [skill]cure hex[/skill] on yourself and how is casting on "Target Other Ally" weird?

The only skill in game is that target other ally is [withdraw hexes] all others can self target and like stretches said you can heal through them without any kind of hex remover except diversion. This being PvE of coarse.

this post hurt me, i had to intervene.
not only did you pick a skill that is target ally, you also fail to note that there is more than 1 skill that is target other ally that is monk hex removal (and A LOT more skills in the game that are not monk, target other ally).
[spotless mind] [empathic removal] [convert hexes]
those are all i can think of... anyways, you can use every other monk hex removal on yourself.
